RUSHDEN

For its size, Rushden shows a lot of interest in historical matters having boasted for many years the Rushden Historical Transport Society and The Rushden and District History Society. Equally for many years a number of residents have been researching their family histories and have been members of the NFHS. It was for this reason that it was decided to form the Rushden Branch of the Northamptonshire Family History Society. The purpose of the branch is to provide interesting and informative talks, to form a base for research projects and to provide support and encouragement, for those interested in the history of their families.

Meetings

Our meetings take place in the hall of South End Infants School, Wymington Road, Rushden at 7.30 on the first Monday of each month. At each meeting there is a talk, information about research work in progress, the opportunity to purchase family history journals from around the country and refreshments in a friendly atmosphere.
