NEW TO FAMILY HISTORY? / NEW TO NORTHANTS RECORD OFFICE? / NEED HELP AND ADVICE? 
Northamptonshire Family History Society & RO staff will be holding‘Famiy History Surgeries’ at the Northants Record Office
on the first Saturday of every month
If you’ve only just started your family history we’ll be able to offer some tips to get you going. If you’ve never visited the Record Office before then we’ll show you how to get the most out of your visit.  And if you’ve hit a brick wall in your research and need some advice then we’ll try and suggest some areas to research. Plus we’ll help you find your way around the best family history internet sites! Or just come along and chat to us and the Record Office staff!

Sat 6th May   Northamptonshire Archives & Heritage Service Summer Events 2017
The Northants Archives & Heritage Service will be running a series of talks over the Summer period fromn May until October on Saturday afternoons.

Tues 9th May. 11 am.   Kettering Museum Family History Workshop - 11 April, Writing Your Family History. 10.45 for 11 am start
The workshop costs £5 (or £3.50 with a Kettering Leisure Pass) Thse workshops will be followed by an afternoon one-to-one session if you are in need of more in depth expert advice. This costs £12.50 (£10 with a Kettering Leisure Pass). It is essential that you book for the 1-to-1 session by ringing the Museum on 01536 534219

The Romany and Traveller Family History Society is hosting a day of family history/social history talks in the Birmingham area on Saturday 13 May 2017. The Leicester and Rutland Family History Society are running a Coach trip to the Somme Sat 14th to Tuesday 18th of May 2017 with full tours to the many sites around the Somme.

The HFHS will be holding an Open Day and Fair at Woolmer Village Green Hall, Woolmer Green, SG3 6XA.
